An Update from the Treasurer

When 2023 began, I was optimistic about ¹Ü¼ÒÆŲÊͼ’s financial situation. I remain so, though there are some things that bear watching and even correcting course on. ¹Ü¼ÒÆŲÊͼ has historically drawn significant revenue from conferences and publishing, two sources that still face challenges to stability and growth. The divisions and round tables have worked hard to control expenses and have contributed significantly to ¹Ü¼ÒÆŲÊͼ’s fiscal viability. The association continues to seek to develop new revenue streams, such as data design and research. Most critically, though, is how the strength of contributed revenues has bolstered our financial fortunes. Sustaining this revenue stream will be a challenge, but it provides us with some cushion needed for growing the newer revenue streams even as we seek to stabilize more established ones. Now that we have begun FY2024, ¹Ü¼ÒÆŲÊͼ staff, member leaders, and I will work to preserve reason for ongoing optimism.
