September is Library Card Sign Up Month

Each year thousands of public and school libraries come together each September in a national effort to remind parents and children that a library card is the most important school supply of all. Library Card Sign-up Month was launched in 1987. Libraries Transform Campaign

¹Ü¼ÒÆŲÊͼ

The initiative was launched in 2015 and focused on increasing the public awareness of libraries and the critical role they play in transforming lives and communities through education. It provided a collection of free resources, including graphics, key messages and ideas, that could be used for marketing, outreach, advocacy, and fundraising. More than 15,000 libraries and library advocates joined the campaign. The initiative was retired in September 2022.

Sari Feldman, ¹Ü¼ÒÆŲÊͼ President 2015-16, officially launched the campaign with funding support from , the nation's largest digital content provider to libraries. Ongoing financial support for the campaign was provided by ¹Ü¼ÒÆŲÊͼ's .
